The Women in Tech Community Award (Individual) celebrates an outstanding individual who has made exceptional contributions to uplifting women in the technology sector through community building, mentorship, volunteering, or advocacy. This free, public-voting award recognizes grassroots leaders, community organizers, and passionate advocates who create meaningful impact beyond their job title—inspiring, connecting, and empowering women in tech communities worldwide.

How does it work?

1. Nominations Open (Active)
Complete the online nomination form. Self-nominations and peer nominations are welcome.
2. Public Voting & Community Review
The community votes for their favorite nominees. Public votes determine which candidates advance to the finals.
3. Votes Tallied & Finalists Selected
All public votes are tallied and top nominees are shortlisted as finalists, gaining major industry visibility.
4. Virtual Ceremony
Winners are celebrated and announced live during the WomenTech Global Awards virtual ceremony on 03 December 2026.

Who is it for?

Nomination eligibility criteria:

An individual who actively contributes to building, growing, or leading a women-in-tech community, chapter, meetup, or online group.
Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, advocating for, or creating resources that empower women and non-binary individuals in technology fields.
Shown measurable community impact such as events organized, members supported, partnerships built, or initiatives launched to advance gender diversity in tech.
Open to all individuals regardless of job title or seniority—community impact is the primary evaluation criterion.
