Sungae Park Bio (LinkedIn)
Sungae Park is Vice President of Design at HCA Healthcare, bringing nearly three decades of experience across design, engineering, product, and AI.Her work at the intersection of humans and intelligent technology began well before today's generative-AI era. In 2015 at LG Electronics, she created an early hybrid NLP chatbot, combining conversational technology with human-centered design. Since then, she has become a keynote speaker and design and technology leader focused on a question that has become even more urgent with AI: What uniquely human value matters when technology can build almost anything?
Today, Sungae is developing an AI-native design-to-code model that connects research, UX, prototyping, user validation, and production-ready development—turning human insight into working software without the traditional layers of handoffs.
She is also the inventor behind three patent-pending concepts exploring firsthand frontline observation as an input to AI, addressing the latency between what people already know and what eventually reaches enterprise systems of record.
Her work extends human-centered design deeper into the technology stack, exploring how psychological, behavioral, and UX principles can be embedded into AI components and APIs, influencing not only what an experience looks like, but how intelligent systems learn and respond.
Her thesis for the AI era: When everyone can build at AI speed, speed is no longer the advantage. Human depth is.
