Prior to Meta she held leadership roles at Dell, Qualys, Risk Management Solutions, Fidelity Investments where she took the teams through transformation and growth.She was recently named as one of the top 100 Women of Influence by Silicon Valley Business Journal(2019), eWOW 2021 Diversity and Culture Leadership Award, WomenTech Network 2021 Global Technology Leadership Award, Finalist as Ally of the Year Awards(2020), Finalist Executive Women on the Year(2020) by EWF, Leadership Excellence in Technology Award by National Diversity Council(2020), also as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology by National Diversity Council(2018), she was a winner of Top Women in Cloud(2016) by CloudNow, finalist of Women of Influence(2017) by EWF. She is a member of Forbes Technology Council, 2020 SheLeadsTech Ambassador, EWF(Executive Women Forum) Ambassador and on the Advisory Boards for various startups and a nonprofit. She was also recently added to the Visionary Voices Speakers Bureau by AllRaise. Syamla is the founding member of the FirstBorad.io where she is working with other women leaders with a mission of having more women on the boards.
She is deeply passionate about driving Diversity initiatives both within the company as well as in the industry. She invests time in mentoring other women in tech. Syamla pursued her Masters in Information Technology(Thesis pending) at Harvard University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and receipt of Gold Medal from Nagarjuna University, India.
Outside work she enjoying hiking and biking with her family, she has two kids, son(14 years old) and a daughter(10 years old), she also enjoys vegan cooking and promoting healthy lifestyle.
