Sr Engineer

Key Qualification

• The candidate requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of physical design, optimization and/or methodology experience.
• Proficiency in place & route methodology, top level implementation (bump & RDL), and P&R timing eco / sing-off.
• Proficiency in high-performance and low-power physical design with standard EDA synthesis, P&R and sign-off tools.
• Real tape-out experience on 3D-IC or HBM implementation is plus.
• Proficient in CAD methodology development, efficient programming skills in languages like : TCL, Perl, Python, etc.
• Proficiency in inter-communicational skills and English communication.

 
Description
As a Sr R&D engineer, you will own or take part in the following work area:

• Develop Samsung foundry 3DIC solutions with aligned to SNPS reference methodology.
• Coordinate with and influence Samsung foundry, internal team and end customers on the real project issues and 3DIC flow optimization.
• Work with field account team to help Samsung foundry end customers for their adoption of SNPS solutions.

 
Preferred Experience

• Provides pre-sales technical help for the development of complex products/applications/solutions.
• Uses in-depth product know-how to give technical details to the customer through product demonstrations.
• May create detailed design specifications for complex products (Test Chip) / applications / systems.
• May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application.
• Performs in project leadership role for establishing and developing approach to solutions.
• Exercises unbiased judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
• Provides regular updates to manager on project status.
• Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job.
