Applications Engineering, Principal Engineer (SPICE)

As a transistor level (SPICE) simulation products Field Applications Engineer, you will be accountable for providing technical service to customers and be deeply involved in simulating of variety type of designs including analog, memory and mixed-signal circuits. You will use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. You will manage customer accounts and work with cross-functional teams to serve Synopsys products required for SPICE simulation. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/systems. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. May also provide post-sales technical service for implementation, training, and maintenance of company products/applications/solutions. Requisition Requirements –

• A minimum of 8+ years of related experience
• Candidate must have circuit design/debug experience for analog or mixed-signal circuits.
• Familiar with SPICE netlist format is required
• Basic transistor level simulation and waveform tool experience is required
• Basic scripting skills is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Has a basic overall knowledge of electronics and electronic circuit is highly desirable
