As a UX Researcher at New Relic, you will partner closely with our Product Engineering and Design teams across the globe to bridge the gap between user experience and engineering through the ability to quantify UX metrics that drive engineering requirements. What you'll do
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact UX research opportunities using your deep understanding of product design, technical requirements, and business objectives
  • Scope research projects and develop clear detailed research plans and proposals that tie directly to business key results
  • Lead and conduct usability research — qualitative and quantitative — to evaluate potential solutions related to product design, interaction, competitive evaluation, and performance
  • Drive research projects with your extensive knowledge of research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product development phase to drive improvements and innovation
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional and cross-geo teams to coordinate project plans that iteratively deliver experience insights and product requirements, highlighting business and marketing impact.
  • Adapt and innovate research practices to meet team needs under the tight timeframes of a rapidly growing company
  • Communicate research insights to cross-functional teams and executives in creative ways to guide decision making
  • Other duties as assigned


This role requires
  • At least 5+ years professional experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research in a product-led organization
  • Knowledge in quantitative research methodologies (e.g., surveys, regression modeling, experimental design, behavioral data analysis)
  • Experience with Lean and Guerrilla research methods
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills. Comfortable with self-organizing and context switching between multiple projects, especially last-minute urgent asks
  • Proactivity with assuming and completing tasks
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and across timezones
  • Excellent observational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills


Bonus points if you have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer interactions, Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with data visualization and coding in relevant data tools like R, SQL, Jupyter, and Python
  • Experience with Qualtrics and Amplitude
  • Experience with design methodologies like service design and design thinking
  • Workshop facilitation experience
