About the Role
The Sr. Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) is responsible for ensuring the quality of financial planning, performance monitoring, and management analysis, acting as a strategic partner to the business and supporting leadership in decision‑making processes. This role plays a critical part in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses, ensuring consistency, transparency, and reliability of financial information. The position requires strong interaction with Commercial, Accounting, and other key stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively support the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and periodic revisions throughout the year.

  • Analyze budget versus actual variances for revenues, costs, and expenses, identifying drivers, risks, and impacts on financial results.

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Commercial team, supporting the development and review of business cases and P&Ls.

  • Prepare and deliver periodic management reports, including weekly executive summaries and daily sales reports.

  • Perform the monthly management closing process, ensuring data accuracy and providing critical financial analysis.

  • Calculate and monitor royalties payable, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.

  • Manage calculations related to content investments and their respective amortization.

  • Ensure proper sales validation, including accounting reconciliations, sales return provisions, and detailed delivery confirmation analyses.

  • Develop financial feasibility and profitability analyses for new projects, initiatives, and investments.

  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong controls, process adherence, and proper documentation.

  • Drive automation initiatives and continuous improvement of FP&A processes and reporting.

  • Respond to Group-level requests with agility, accuracy, and clear financial explanations.

  • Support the consolidation of financial results for Brazil and Argentina.

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI.

  • Automate financial processes using VBA, Python, RPA, or other relevant technologies.

  • Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable strategic insights.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Operations, and Editorial to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial planning.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A roles

  • Experience preparing and reviewing the annual budget and forecasting

  • Variance analyses between budget vs. actuals (revenue, costs, and expenses)

  • Monthly management closure and support to accounting

  • Strong command of concepts such as P&L, contribution margin, costs, expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow

  • Advanced Excel: Financial modeling, Complex pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas

  • Critical data analysis: ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.

  • Advanced English for reading reports, interacting with global teams, and management consolidation

Desirable

  • Spanish language is a plus

  • Systems and data: ERP (SAP, Oracle, Totvs, or similar), SQL, Python for automation and analysis (strong plus), and integration of financial databases.

  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau is a plus
