We are currently looking for an Business Consulting Manager to join our fast-growing team in the Amsterdam office, in the FMCG industry. You will be managing the relationship with Business areas of our clients, in particular for large groups in FMCG/Retail in the context of transformation projects or for shaping proposals of collaboration for large digital transformations. You will report to the Digital Strategy and Advisory Lead for France and Benelux.

Your role:

• You propose the best approach to effectively tackle a business challenge (digital transformation, operational improvement, time-to-market acceleration, etc.): you propose the right scope, methodology, team and deliverables to deploy it effectively and bring the expected impact
• You manage work plans, activities and deliverables on business consultancy assignments, ensuring on-time, on-budget and excellent quality deliverables
• You directly supervise a team of business consultants and possibly working in close coordination with technical experts (for example in AI, RPA, advanced data analytics) or industry experts (for example in supply-chain, in trade marketing, in automotive, etc.)
• You engage with client business management in meetings and workshops, and you ensure the work delivered meets their expectations and effectively solves their challenges
• You develop long-term relationships with your clients, based on qualitative contact and good delivery, and are able to detect new needs for consulting support.
• You actively contribute to the business development, developing approaches and proposals on business consulting opportunities for Industry accounts, working closely with the Account executives

Your profile:

• You possess excellent problem-solving skills, are results-oriented, a great communicator, a strong team player and you are business oriented
• You preferably have a Master’s degree in business administration, business engineering or engineering with a strong business acumen
• You have at least 7 to 10 years post-studies professional experience in business consultancy. We value your experience in business transformation and digital transformation for business areas (Sales, Innovation or Supply-Chain). You bring experience from several projects in large FMCG companies and understand well core processes, KPIs and strategic trends in this industry
• Especially valuable is your experience in business transformation, digital transformation, process optimization, organizational design, business governance, business case modelling and change management
• You have an understanding of business/IT alignment issues in transformation programs
• Attracted by innovative technologies (AI, RPA, advanced data analytics, etc.), you have a keen interest in looking at ways to turn these into a positive business case for your clients
• You have experience in both doing the business development and the crafting/kick-off of a project
• You are an effective team leader, sharing knowledge and fuelling the motivation of consultants
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• You are fluent in Dutch, with written and spoken proficiency in English
