In this role, you'll play a crucial part in the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of our Physical Verification software product. This product verifies layout designs, generates diagnostic reports, and guides users in rectifying issues. It also produces outputs for downstream products like RC extraction and simulation, contributing significantly to further design verification.

You'll collaborate directly with other R&D, CAE, and QA teams located across Taiwan, China, and the US to continuously enhance performance, ease of use, and result quality.

Challenges include designing efficient data structures and algorithms, solving problems imposed by advanced technology nodes, and delivering high-quality production software that meets customer needs.

A successful candidate will display a strong commitment to writing efficient and stable software programs and staying updated with advancements in IC design and methodology.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in developing complex software projects with a strong understanding of C/C++ coding.
  • Solid background in data structures and algorithms.
  • Demonstrable strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and share experiences.
  • Clear and concise English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Knowledge and experience in CAD tool development or IC design methodology would be beneficial.

What We Expect:

  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • A strong understanding of C/C++ coding and working knowledge in one other related area.
  • Ability to creatively resolve issues, using independent judgment to select methods and techniques for solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage a project from start to finish, making significant contributions to complex aspects of a project, and developing recommendations for solutions.
  • Experience in team-driven or task-oriented projects. You may also guide junior colleagues with aspects of their role.
  • As our product handles large designs at the final chip design stage, and as manufacturing processes advance, the program's accuracy and performance are paramount. Your implementations and solutions must undergo review for accuracy and performance.
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships. Your contacts will be mostly within the business unit, with occasional organizational and external customer contact on routine matters.
