Promote your Nomination

Here are the instructions on promoting your nomination for the Women in Tech Global Awards:

  1. Utilize Social Media: Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to announce your nomination and share your story. Explain what this recognition means to you and highlight your contributions to the tech community. Use the sharing buttons above / this page url relevant hashtags like #WTGA2023 #WomenTech, #WomenInTech, and #TechAwards. Encourage your followers to vote and share your posts.

  2. Reach Out via Email: Send an email to your contacts informing them about your nomination. Explain the importance of the Women in Tech Global Awards, and provide them with information on how they can support you by voting. Don't forget to ask them to pass the information to their own networks, this will extend your reach.

  3. Engage with Online Communities: Share your nomination news in relevant online forums and groups. This could include tech forums, ERG groups, professional networking sites, and communities focused on women's empowerment. Be sure to provide information about how to vote.

  4. Virtual Meet-ups/Webinars: If you have the means to host a virtual event or webinar, consider sharing your experience in the tech field and discussing your nomination. This could also be a great opportunity to highlight the significance of women's role in technology.

  5. Workplace Announcements: If your workplace has an intranet or internal communication channels, share your nomination news there. Your colleagues would likely be interested and proud to support you.

How to Vote

Here are the instructions on how to vote for a nominee in the Women in Tech Global Awards:

  1. Visit the profile page of the nominee you want to support on the official Women in Tech Global Awards website. (this page)

  2. On the profile page, you'll find social media sharing buttons. Click on these buttons to share the nominee's profile on your chosen social media platform(s). This could be LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform provided.

  3. By sharing the nominee's profile using these buttons, your action counts as a vote for the nominee.

Please note the following important information:

  • Repeated clicks from the same user are tracked internally, so multiple clicks without real shares by the same user will not result in multiple votes, even if it shows multiple clicks on the front end. The system is designed internally to count unique shares only, to ensure a fair voting process. 

  • It's completely acceptable to share multiple times, across different days and platforms, as long as you genuinely share the information and engage with your network.

  • Please remember that any misuse or manipulation of the voting system, such as using bots, fake accounts, or any other deceptive practices to increase vote counts, may result in disqualification. Jyotika Singh Bio

Jyotika Singh is the VP of Data Science at ICX Media, where she manages and mentors her team as they work on NLP, feature engineering, machine learning, data analytics, research, distributed computing, social media data and audiences data using Python and Spark. She is an inventor of a patent on data science, classification and reclassification algorithms, processes and optimizations for media and audience marketing campaigns. Her efforts in driving data science and analytics at ICX along with introduction of new methods and processes have strongly contributed to reducing operating costs, securing new clients and achieving high double digit revenue growth in the past year with positive EBITDA.

She earned her Bachelor's in Engineering Hons. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Dubai (BITS) where she published multiple papers on her research in Signal Processing and Communications and earned a silver medal for the entire graduating class of 2014 and 1st rank for the Electrical Engineering class of 2014. She then earned her Master's in Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she researched on signal and speech processing, developed novel approaches to remove noise from speech and worked on a variety of machine learning projects on image, text, user ratings, social media, entertainment and movies data. Outside her work, she enjoys working on a variety of problem solving techniques on text, audio and image data. She has opened multiple github open source projects, such as pyAudioProcessing, and has been a speaker at multiple conferences across the globe to share her findings and work with the Python and Data Science community. She is passionate about encouraging women in STEM and continues mentorship efforts to support the topic. She mentors at Data Science Nigeria and Women Impact Tech US.

In her free time, she is big on spending time with family and friends, painting, sketching, art & decor, and trying out different sports.
