Lakshmi Priya Gopalsamy is a Senior Engineering Manager at Target Corporation with nearly two decades of experience delivering scalable, business-critical technology across retail, fintech, healthcare, and telecom. She leads high-performing engineering teams driving enterprise platform transformation, distributed systems, digital commerce, and AI governance.A WomenTech Network Global Ambassador, she founded the Twin Cities WomenTech Circle — building a sustained local community through monthly events, mentorship, and professional collaboration. She was named among the 30 Exceptional Women in Engineering Leadership for IWED 2026.
She also founded the ACM-IEEE WIE Twin Cities community (dual-recognized by ACM and IEEE WIE), serves as Secretary of IEEE WIE Twin Cities, and holds IEEE Senior Member status and IICSPA Fellow (top 1%) recognition. Most recently, she was elected to found and lead the IEEE P26044 Research, Experimentation and Adoption Subgroup within IEEE/S2ESC.
She has spoken at WomenTech Global Conference 2026, PlatformCon 2026, and Conf42 LLM 2026, and publishes peer-reviewed research on AI governance, agentic systems, and platform engineering. She is an active mentor through MnTech's ACE Leadership Program and Target's TWIST EPIC Awards program.
