Laura Major Bio
A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Laura Major began her career as a Cognitive Engineer for Draper Laboratory, where she designed autonomous systems and information systems for US astronauts and soldiers and developed the first-ever Information and Cognition Division, growing the capability to 100 engineers. In 2020, Laura became the CEO of Motional. Headquartered in Boston, Motional is developing and commercializing SAE Level 4 autonomous vehicles focusing on robotaxis.Laura is also an accomplished author with her co-authored book, What To Expect When You're Expecting Robots: The Future of Human-Robot Collaboration, which dissects the future of human-robot collaboration.
