Penny Li Bio
Penny has over 27 years of experience in EDA tools and microprocessor designs. Previously Penny help positions at IBM, ISS, Avanti, Raza Foundries, Afara Websystems, Sun and Oracle.
Penny is committed to increasing the women representation in the AI industry. Penny knows first hand the impact that mentorship can have on the success of women in AI. Penny is lucky to continue to work with her mentor, SambaNova CEO Rodrigo Liang for two decades (first at Oracle and now at SambaNova). Three in four women in AI say they benefit from having women and minorities as managers, leaders and role models and Penny ensures that her team receives the support necessary to succeed in their role and career by going above and beyond as a manager.
Penny is also a strong advocate of women-focused employee groups and networks are great additions to ongoing mentorship programs, too. She promotes opportunities for employees to network, connect with colleagues in the industry, and attend conferences. The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is one of her personal favorites, for example.
