Quratulain Hussain Bio
Quratulain Hussain is a lecturer at the Department of Teacher Education - University of Karachi, IVLP Alumna, ELT Certified, and an activist for girls' rights & education, literacy, social justice, global citizenship, and digital advocacy.
Determined to pursue education despite stereotypes surrounding higher education, she has always strived to keep learning and is currently doing her Ph.D. With a deep-rooted interest in community service & volunteerism, she has been actively working with at-risk youth (mainly girls) since 2012 to guide them towards being equipped with the skills of the future. Having worn multiple hats, she has worked as a teacher trainer, facilitator, mentor, and more.
Bringing in the concept of e-learning since 2013 to her community, she has facilitated and supervised tons of MOOCs and launched the Coursera for Campus initiative at her university during the lockdown.
She currently also supervises Global Creative Hub, a social development initiative with an aim to make every Pakistani girl digitally literate through hands-on training programs on 21-st century skills.
With a love for mentoring, working with disadvantaged adolescent girls, teacher training, and e-learning, she is also a mother to 2 beautiful daughters.
