Session: AI Powered Innovations in Healthcare: Real World Applications and Benefits
With the widespread media coverage in recent months, we have heard about artificial intelligence (AI) so much. What is intriguing is how AI is being used for a variety of healthcare applications. Some aspects that involve use of AI research and decision-making in drug development. Secondly, AI is used in medical imaging to detect early sign of diseases. With the patients medical history, AI can predict patients response to specific medicine. I believe most importantly it can automate administrative tasks and help clinical professionals make quicker decisions using patients electronic health records Despite the many exciting possibilities for AI in healthcare, there are some risks to weigh like ethical use of AI, properly training the model to avoid bias. The greatest challenge to AI in these healthcare domains is not whether the technologies will be capable enough to be useful, but rather ensuring their adoption in daily clinical practice. Learning Objectives 1) Understanding AI Technologies: Gain insights into various AI technologies like natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, and how they are applied in healthcare. 2) Real-World Applications: Explore practical examples of AI in healthcare, such as diagnostic tools, personalized medicine, predictive analytics, and robotic surgery. 3) Benefits and Challenges: Learn about the benefits AI brings to healthcare, including improved patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost reduction, as well as the challenges like data privacy, ethical considerations, and integration issues.
