Session: Web 3.0 as a tool to bridge the Digital Divide
Emerging technologies such as blockchain, NFTs and Web 3.0 can be used as tools to create a better world. This is what Giga is doing. Giga is a UNICEF and ITU initiative that aims to connect every school in the world to the internet by 2030. The talk will focus on understanding what is the digital divide, why it matters and how Giga is using blockchain and NFTs in particular, to bridge this and to create a future of universal school connectivity and digital inclusion for every child.

Giga also has the largest NFT Collection by the UN called the Patchwork Kingdoms Collection, and its upcoming NFT 2.0 is revolutionary as Giga aims to build the largest, open-source, decentralized database of every school in the world.
