Bio

Miona Aleksic is a Product Manager at Canonical responsible for the LXD and MicroCloud products. Her mission is to build a next-generation private cloud infrastructure that ‘just works’. Prior to Canonical, she spent years in telecommunications, leading modernization initiatives in OSS, infrastructure and data centre domains. She has an M.Sc. in Technology Management from Seoul National University.

Varshi is the Engineering Director for IS DevOps teams at Canonical, with a mission of improving the experience of running complex business operations for ITOps and support teams. These teams are working on upgrading and building operators for easier installation, security upgrades, and day X maintenance of the applications managed by IT operations teams. After graduation in Computer Science, Varshi developed enterprise software for multi-channel financial firms before moving to the United States to pursue a Master's in Management and Information Systems. She has since then worked for healthcare, IT, and retail companies playing varied roles in software development, architecture, and product management.

As a Senior User Researcher, Lidia brings the voice of the user to engineering teams to deliver products that allow users to achieve their goals. She has uncovered user behaviors, needs and motivations for a range of Canonical products, including Ubuntu Pro and ROCK Images. After completing graduate studies in semiconductor engineering, Lidia started a PhD in the field, but quickly felt a disconnect between the lab and real-life. She then switched topics and completed a PhD in participatory research methods in Singapore. This experience made her aware of the importance of creating more intuitive and enjoyable products and services for diverse users, which has become her mission. Before joining Canonical, she worked as a Product Manager for local startups in the clinical research and CleanTech spaces.

Andreea Munteanu is a Product Manager at Canonical, leading the MLOps area. With a background in Data Science in various industries, she used AI techniques to enable enterprises to benefit from their initiatives and make data-driven decisions. Nowadays, Andreea is looking to help enterprises to get started with their AI projects and then deploy them to production, using open-source, stable solutions.
