Session: The Shift to OpenShift: A look at Red Hat OCP
A High-level overview of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. We will review the basics of container technology and the differences between containers and virtual machines, the benefits of containerization and of using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform in different use cases.
Bio
Angel Jones has more than 21 years as an IT leader in the cloud and data center industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in IT Business as well as several technical and project management certifications including PMP® and AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification. She is an Associate Partner at IBM leading a Federal Cloud Offering, and is responsible for the hybrid multi-cloud Red Hat OpenShift Platform as a Service (PaaS) for Government offering in IBM Global Business Services. She is also on the board of a start up, Pop Up Mkt, LLC, developing an application to help local small artisans and farmer's businesses during the difficult "in person" economy (www.popupmkt.com).
Angel is an international best selling co-author of the leadership book, "Significant Women: Leaders Reveal What Matters Most" .
Angel spends her down time volunteering to help improve the lives of children and women. She serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Central Texas which advocates for neglected and abused children in the foster care system to ensure their voices are heard. She also writes a blog at www.managingitall.com, focused on creating a community of support and advice for women trying to balance career, family, and life in general.
Angel lives outside San Antonio Texas with her husband Tre’, and their 20lb cat Mufasa. They have three adult children: Callie, William, and Jillian.
