Session: Practical Statistics for Running Experiments

This talk will cover several statistical rules of thumb that you can use in everyday work and life. We will cover how to do statistics when you only have a small sample size, how to interpret ratings with confidence, and estimate the chance of something that hasn’t happened yet. The workshop is suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences who are curious about data driven decision making.

Premium Members, Ticket Holders, Speakers and recognized Global Ambassadors can watch this content once logged in.

Key Takeaways

  • The audience will learn: 1) What the minimum number of samples are needed so that you can be confident in the results of an experiment
  • 2) A few rules of thumb that can be used for work as well as life, e.g. how many ratings do you need to trust a seller on Amazon
  • 3) How long will it take to double the number of users in a new product
