Drawing on personal experiences from leading cross-functional teams at Qualcomm, Intel, Broadcom and Cisco, Anupama Toshniwal will highlight why making speaking up non-negotiable is crucial for driving innovation, individual and business success in male-dominated and technical fields like semiconductors and in big corporate cultures.
This talk will focus on practical strategies for women engineers to assert their ideas confidently, build leadership presence, and drive influence in corporate settings through strategic communication and thrive from showing up authentically at work. The talk will explore the importance of psychologically safe environment that encourages all voices to be heard. By the end of the session, attendees will gain practical tools to build confidence, assert their ideas more effectively, and influence key decisions in their organizations. They'll also learn how to cultivate a psychologically safe environment where diverse voices are not just heard but valued, which is essential for fostering innovation and driving meaningful change.

Anupama Toshniwal is a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience
driving innovation, strategic growth, and cross-functional collaboration at Qualcomm, Intel, Broadcom, and Cisco. As a dynamic global engineering leader, she has built teams, spearheaded complex projects from scratch, and fostered partnerships that deliver impactful results in high-performance computing and custom CPU technologies for automotive. An advocate for transformative technology, she is passionate about pushing the boundaries of semiconductor design and innovation. Having struggled with finding her own voice in a male-dominated industry, Anu is passionate about helping other women bypass the hurdles she faced. Speaking up shouldn't be a struggle, it should be a strength that drives innovation and leadership. She holds a Master of Science in Electronics Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
