Session: Founding and Leading Public Sector Businesses
Join public sector veteran, Brandee Daly, for a presentation on the unique challenges women in the cyber, cloud, and information technology sectors, as well as women working in the public sector, face and the unique perspective that they can bring to their roles. Brandee will also discuss the importance of diversity in the industry and why diverse teams are essential to innovation. The talk will also cover the evolving needs of the cyber and cloud markets and the challenges the industry will face in the near future.
Bio
Brandee Daly, the co-founder and CEO of KnightSwan, is among the leading experts in government and business technology solutions and has led an impressive 25-year career spanning roles at Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, and the Central Intelligence Agency (“CIA”). In 2021, Daly was named one of the “Top 20 Cloud Execs to Watch in 2021” by WashingtonExec. Brandee was the founder and CEO of C2S Consulting Group (“C2SCG”), a leading provider of innovative solutions, prototypes, and delivery of cloud cyber security to the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense (“DoD”), and U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies.
In 2000, under President Clinton, Brandee was awarded the Directors Award for her work in preparing the U.S. Government for Y2K. That same year, Daly and her team received the Vice Presidential Hammer Award for Reinventing Government from Vice President Gore.
Brandee is a fierce advocate for supporting women’s initiatives in both technology and sports and is a proud sponsor of the Washington Spirit, the women’s professional soccer team in Washington, D.C.
