Session: Choosing the Right Tool for the Right Job: How to Be a Diversity Mechanic

The tech industry is rife with division right now, with people expressing outrage about discrimination and harassment. Meanwhile, we have engineers with their heads down writing code. But what if we as engineers took everything we know about technology and how to solve problems and we applied it to ourselves? In this session, Bridget will provide concrete strategies for leaders to drive change in the technology industry and for their companies. She'll share her experience with building more diverse and inclusive teams, and offer her advice for how to advocate for broader change in your workplace.

Key Takeaways

  • Strategies to drive DEI progress in the technology industry as well as at your company
  • Advice for how to advocate for broader change in your workplace
