Session: From the theoretical to the impactful: the journey of a climate tech founder

In this talk Charlotte Degot, Founder and CEO of CO2 AI will deep dive into her journey as a founder of a climate tech start-up, the motivations that have driven her and the challenges she has had to overcome. Charlotte’s journey has been far from conventional and it has been driven by her curiosity and passion to solve complex problems and create impactful change. Deeply concerned about the climate crisis, and after an 8 year traditional consulting career Charlotte took a giant leap of faith in the power of computing. She left her comfort zone and returned to school to learn how to code, and study the fundamentals of Data Science and AI. Fast forward 4 years, Charlotte founded a start-up within BCG, something never seen before, and has led a team of 60+ in the development of a successful tech solution that enables organizations to manage their sustainability journey from measurement to reduction. Bio

Charlotte Degot is the Founder and CEO of CO2 AI, a digital solution that empowers corporations to advance their sustainability journey. Charlotte built CO2 AI from a single vision to leverage advanced analytics and technology to revolutionize the response to the most critical problem of our generation – climate change. Charlotte was formerly a Managing Director & Partner of BCG GAMMA, Boston Consulting Group’s entity dedicated to data science and advanced analytics, where she leads Climate and Sustainability topics.
In addition to her work at BCG, Charlotte is a strong advocate for women in STEM and a lecturer at HEC Paris and École Polytechnique, where she teaches sustainability, strategy, and the impact of AI.
