Session: Hardening your digital fortress : Unveiling the Art of Privacy Engineering

In this digital era, Data is an invaluable asset for businesses. Proliferation of data comes with serious risk. With rampant security attacks and data breaches, undiscovered and unprotected data is a ticking time bomb, waiting to wreak havoc on an organization. Data Security and Data Privacy are table stakes, along with Application/Cloud security. Join us as we discuss how to build an effective Privacy Engineering program from the ground up.

It is no secret that Privacy is a shared responsibility between Legal, Product and Engineering. We will dive deep on establishing a Privacy Engineering council of technology and process leaders, which fosters cohesive interdisciplinary collaboration, establishment of Privacy Engineering Frameworks adhering to industry standards and best practices. In tandem with the Privacy Engineering council, we will also discuss a successful Data Stewards program which emerges as a satellite team of privacy champions embedded in critical engineering teams committed to upholding the highest standards of data privacy and security.

We will weave in real-world use case scenarios in our discussions shedding light on the pivotal role played by Privacy Engineering in shaping a trustworthy digital future, and illuminating how to make a business case for a more private product.
