Session: What AI Leaders Need to Know About Quantum, Before It’s Too Late

AI is the technology shaping the present. Quantum computing is the technology that will reshape the foundations underneath it. Most AI leaders are not preparing for the moment when quantum-capable systems begin to break the cryptographic assumptions that protect today's AI infrastructure, training data, and deployed models. This Meet & Greet conversation will cover what every senior AI practitioner should know about quantum computing, quantum-safe cryptography, and why "quantum readiness" is becoming a board-level question for any organization deploying AI at scale.

Key Takeaways

  • Quantum computing is no longer a research curiosity — it is on a clear timeline that will affect AI infrastructure, cryptography, and data protection within the next 5–10 years. Senior AI leaders need to understand the basics now.
  • Post-quantum cryptography is the most immediate concrete action organizations can take. NIST has published quantum-safe encryption standards, and enterprises are beginning to adopt them. Knowing what your organization is doing about PQC is the right first
  • The intersection of AI and quantum is one of the most underpopulated and most differentiated technical spaces a woman in technology can position herself in. There is room to lead.
