Join Yelp’s Meet and Greet session to hear from four Yelp employees on what it’s like to work at the company. This will be an interactive session where audience members will also get to ask the speakers questions about their experience in the industry and at Yelp.Yelp is a company that connects people with great local businesses. With unmatched local business information, photos and review content, Yelp provides a one-stop local platform for consumers to discover, connect and transact with local businesses of all sizes by making it easy to request a quote, join a waitlist, and make a reservation, appointment or purchase. Yelp was founded in San Francisco in 2004.

Bio
Elise Pi, Group Product ManagerElise is a group product manager on the Ads team at Yelp, focused on delivering more value to Yelp advertisers to help their businesses grow. She works with a superstar team responsible for the systems and algorithms that power Yelp’s almost $1B-large ad marketplace. Prior to product management, Elise was a part of Yelp’s Business Operations & Strategy team and before that, a strategy consultant at IBM. Elise is a proud alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a degree in economics. Originally from Cupertino, California, Elise also considers Shanghai to be home and currently resides in London.
Katherine Langdon, Product Design Manager
Katherine is currently creating new opportunities for local services businesses to connect with their customers while managing a team of product designers at Yelp. She has been in the software industry for over 15 years in a wide variety of roles including UX, UI, Research, Graphic Design and Leadership. With a background in Industrial Design, she focuses on creating design solutions that address true user needs and has designed products for e-commerce, fulfillment, analytics, and security. She shares her interests in leadership, design and mentorship by speaking at conferences, facilitating workshops and hosting portfolio reviews.
Supriya Lal, Tech Lead
Supriya has been in the tech industry as a software engineer for six years. She is the technical lead for the Billing Infrastructure team at Yelp. She holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Arizona, USA and a bachelor's degree in information technology from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, India.
Maoreen Rose Malibiran, Events & Partnerships Specialist
Maoreen runs tech events and partnerships for Yelp engineering and product. She is also an active member of the Yelp employee resource group Awesome Women in Engineering (AWE) and co-leads the AWE Reads program, which creates a safe space for bookworms. Prior to Yelp, she spent three years working in the tech industry focused on building teams and quality connections. Maoreen moved to Canada from the Manila area in 2017 after receiving her degree in psychology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Her passion and expertise are in the ever-evolving technology industry with a strong focus on creating diverse and inclusive teams of innovators in Canada.
