Session: From Innovation to Impact: Navigating the Patent Process and Creating Lasting Value in Tech
In the rapidly evolving tech landscape, transforming innovative ideas into patented intellectual property creates both professional advancement opportunities and industry-wide impact. This talk will walk through the journey from identifying patentable innovations in everyday engineering work to successfully navigating the complex patent filing process and leveraging patents to drive organizational value. Drawing from personal experience developing multiple AI-driven solutions that resulted in significant cost savings and a successfully filed patent for performance analysis technology, I'll share practical strategies for identifying patentable work, and overcoming common challenges in the patent process. Attendees will leave with actionable frameworks to recognize, protect, and amplify the impact of their innovations.
