Session: Data-driven decision making using smart edge computing in IoT environment
The exponential growth of the number of users and mobile terminals has increased the amount of generated data. This necessitates efficient data management solutions. Existing centralized platforms incorporate an efficient solution to manage data for non-real-time delay-tolerant applications.However, they still suffer from shortcomings such as relatively high response time, various sensing devices' capability, and inconsistent data collected from different services. In this talk, we will discover data dimensions definition and challenges, decision-making strategies for data collection, and some solutions proposed by the scientific research community.

Bio
Hanane Lamaazi received the M.Sc. degrees in Networks and Telecommunications from Chouaib Doukkali University, Faculty of Sciences, Morocco, and Ph.D. degrees in Network and Computer Sciences from Moulay Ismail University, Faculty of Sciences, Morocco in 2013 and 2018, respectively. She is a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Electrical Engineer and Computer Sciences Department, Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She received the Gold Award in the category WomenTech Community Award (Public Vote), 2021, where she is recognized for her outstanding contribution and engagement with the WomenTech Community. Her research interests focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), RPL Routing protocol, Edge Computing, and crowdsensing. She is acting as a reviewer for several journals COMNet, AdHoc, IEEE Sensors, IEEE Access, and IJCS. She is also a TPC member in different
conferences (ICC, SRC’20, 3ICT, EAI AFRICOMM, PDCTA, CRYPIS).
