Session: Building and Deploying AI Technologies Responsibly and Ethically

AI ethics is more important than ever, especially with the Biden-Harris Administration’s recent Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights. Haniyeh’s presentation will focus on ethical AI, and tackle the question of human involvement in AI and how AI ethics is too often an afterthought.

Specifically, her presentation will discuss:
How racial and gender discrimination are possible with AI models that are not subjected to ethical scrutiny
How organizations can navigate and improve AI bias with a responsible AI system and framework.
Broader best practices that organizations can implement for how to use AI technology responsibly.

Key Takeaways

  • Deeper understanding of the importance of AI ethics
  • The nuances of what it’s trying to solve
  • Why it’s important to be ethical throughout the entirety of an AI project
