Bio
Helen is a senior Engineering Leader with experience as an Executive Director/Head of Technology at a bank, and the CTO at an analytics startup. She currently works at Google, managing software engineering for Google Maps data platform.
With 20 years of software engineering, CTO, and IT leadership experience, Helen has unique expertise in growing talented and efficient tech teams, building saas products from inception to production (and selling to enterprise customers), and scaling and leading large software systems and organizations.
She is a trusted startup and CTO advisor who gave training and mentoring sessions for Techstarts and CapitalG startups, and is currently an advisor to EngFlow, a saas startup that builds software to accelerate developer productivity and happiness through faster builds.
Helen is a frequent tech and career speaker, Girls Who Code instructor, hackathon mentor and judge, and board advisor at Pace University School of CSIS. She is passionate about developing a diverse tech pipeline, and has been recognized among 10 engineering leaders closing the gender gap in NYC.
