Session: Usability Testing - short and simple

A lot of people believe that usability testing requires loads of equipment and ressources. But that's not true. Knowing a few basics anyone can do simple tests and hence make products better for the users. In my talk I will give a short introduction into testing and provide some tips and tricks.

Bio: Ines Weigel

I have studied Business Administration first at the University of Vienna and then at the University of Wales Swansea. After graduating I started to work in the Primary Support of SAP, where I got a very thorough insight in how IT systems work. I soon discovered that I was a very good translator between business and IT as I understood both worlds. After seven years I switched to an international law firm where I was responsible for application management working mainly with the finance department to set up the billing and controlling systems according to their needs. Today I am at Senior Consultant at the German IT service provider adesso where I mainly take on the role of requirements engineer and more recently as UX designer in various projects. To get a better understanding of how users think and what makes a good system I have started to study UX Management in September 2019 part-time at the Technikum in Vienna. I hope to finish my degree in October of this year.
