Session: “I Upgraded My AI… Now It’s Funnier Than Me!" A Beginner’s Guide to Prompt Engineering for Playfulness
Generative AI is revolutionizing creativity, but can it be funny? Absolutely—but only if you prompt it the right way! This engaging, no-coding-required session explores how generative AI and humor come together for you to create effective prompts to get some smiles. The session has three key components. First, I will discuss how generative AI works. This is a beginner-friendly breakdown of how AI models process and generate text, including their strengths, limitations, and why humor can be tricky for them. Second, I will discuss different types of humor. There are all kinds of humor such as puns, non-sequitur, irony, and one of my favorites – cringe. Lastly, I will discuss how you can create your own funny prompts! You will receive guided examples on how to get funnier AI outputs and stretch your creative brain muscle.
You may be thinking, why should I use AI to be funnier? Using your funny bone is a creative endeavor. It is a great exercise in getting your mind to think outside the box and AI can accelerate that process. While you probably cannot put a joke on every slide in a business presentation, AI playfulness can help you make your explanations and titles more approachable and more unique. Whether you're a data scientist, AI enthusiast, creative professional, or just someone who loves a good laugh, this session promises both insights and chuckles. Join me for a session that proves that even machines can have a sense of humor—with a little human guidance.
