Session: Modern Leadership for the New World of Work
With ongoing political unrest, technological disruption, global pandemic, the ‘great resignation,’ “bossism” and the rise of an increasingly diverse and multigenerational workforce, a new kind of leadership is required for success. Today’s leaders must shift from fostering hierarchical, product-focused, profit-driven, office-based cultures to creating democratic, people-focused, people-driven cultures that empower teams across a myriad of locations. Those who master Modern Leadership skills will thrive in the new environment and draw the best talent to their teams. This session is designed for leaders who are eager to step up and increase their impact. We will focus on the six Power Skills of Modern Leaders, we call the HEARTI(TM) Leadership model: humility, empathy, accountability, resiliency, transparency, and inclusion. You’ll get three activities from our Leader Tool Kit to help you increase your skills. Applying these skills will help you and your team succeed in the new world of work.Take the HEARTI:Leader Quotient self-assessment and receive a custom report with your HEARTI strength and vulnerability, plus a library of resources you can use and share with your team.

As a keynote speaker, JeanAnn aims to spark visionary, inclusive discussions that inspire positive change. Her extensive professional experience allows her to incorporate illustrative stories, relatable humor, and practical advice into every presentation. She began her career as a manufacturing supervisor and process engineer, rising to the position of Vice President and General Manager at Intel Corporation. She earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.
