Session: Closing the Harassment Gap

Did you know that 40% of women founders who set out to raise capital faced some form of harassment? And of those women, 59% were propositioned for sex in exchange for funding.

No one should ever have to fear retaliation for reporting harassment. No one should ever blame themselves for sexism, racism, homophobia, or transphobia. Tech culture is a human rights issue, and barriers for women, especially women of color, are still being upheld at unprecedented levels.

This data collected by Women Who Tech exposes a dark side of tech culture, and we need to do better. This interactive session will break down the data, outline tactics to close the funding gap for women in tech, and provide tangible steps for creating a more inclusive, less toxic tech culture

Premium Members, Ticket Holders, Speakers and recognized Global Ambassadors can watch this content once logged in.

Key Takeaways

  • 2-5 processes to implement for reporting harassment
  • That the harassment gap in tech is alive and well
  • Incidences of harassment are not isolated
