Bio

Karen Harris began her career at JPMC in 2022 as a Lead Assurance Architect in the Threat Modeling Center of Excellence.

An avid threat modeling advocate for over 7 years Karen has provided thought leadership with threat model strategy development, performed and reviewed multiple global infrastructure, application and platform assessments. She has also continuously provided threat modeling training and operational support for stakeholders globally, resulting in improved security postures. Karen initiated the re-development of threat modeling process and worked with CTC in defining the Threat Modeling Center of Excellence (TMCoE) service offering, including the introduction of the new threat model federated model structure.

Karen’s cybersecurity expertise has been recognized by the University of Maryland and nPower where she was invited to present workshop threat modeling concepts to students. She was recently interviewed for the annual RSAC Threat Modeling Month pod cast and presented threat modeling implementation and cybersecurity concepts at the virtual and live Houston SecureWorld conferences.
