Session: Stand Out – Develop Your Personal Brand in the Tech Industry

A strong brand stands out in the crowd, but branding isn’t just for companies. Want to stand out in your IT field? Want to connect with people in your industry and discover relevant professional opportunities? Then you need a personal brand.

A personal brand is, quite simply, a presence either online or offline that represents you, your values, and what you have to offer.

With high demand for IT jobs, it's important for you to stand out beyond your cover letter, resume and LinkedIn profile. If you are transitioning into a tech job or are currently working in tech, creating a personal brand will allow you to brand, market and sell your education and experience.

But what exactly does a personal brand look like, and how do you find yours? If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry. In this fireside chat, we will identify the steps in developing your personal brand for your Tech career.

Key Takeaways

  • 1) The importance of a strong personal brand.
  • 2) What a strong personal brand looks like.
  • 3) Steps in developing your personal brand for your Tech career.
