Bio
Khalil Smith is the author of The Performance Culture, a roadmap to creating thriving workplace cultures. He is the Vice President of Inclusion, Diversity, and Engagement at Akamai Technologies, where his team supports a wide variety of employee-centered programs and processes.
Before joining Akamai, Khalil worked with NeuroLeadership Institute, a cognitive science consultancy, during which time he oversaw Consulting, Practices, and Research. Prior to that, Khalil spent over 14 years in senior leader roles with Apple Inc., including leading a global Retail Training team of over 40 learning professionals who were responsible for critical training elements for Apple, such as employee onboarding, technical skills, and product launches.
Khalil holds an M.B.A with dual concentrations in Leadership and Strategy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Master of Science from Columbia University in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
