Session: Leading the Future: Leadership in the age of AI

Women in technology have the power to drive innovation, foster inclusive cultures, and redefine leadership. In my talk, I will explore how the rise of intelligent systems is not creating entirely new leadership responsibilities, but exposing the ones that have always mattered—especially the ability to define clear outcomes and take real accountability. As influence shifts from visibility to meaningful participation in the rooms where decisions are shaped, a critical gap is emerging: leaders must guide technology strategy with a grounded understanding of how these systems actually function, where they deliver value, and where they introduce risk.

My session also focus on what leadership in the age of AI demands: not technical mastery, but the confidence to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and navigate an evolving regulatory and geopolitical landscape. As decision-making accelerates, leaders must move from directing tasks to shaping context, from optimizing efficiency to anchoring purpose, and from seeking certainty to enabling experimentation.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the leaders who will thrive are those who combine digital fluency with human judgment, empathy, and adaptability – defining their role as human and machine collaborators rather than controllers!!

Key Takeaways

  • Core assets of people leaders are empathy, creativity, and strategic judgment, and it cannot be replaced by machines.
  • Treat AI as an active collaborators in workflows rather than merely an automated tool.
  • Ethical AI isn’t about the technology—it’s about ensuring every decision it informs remains humanly accountable

Bio

I am a people leader with more than a decade of experience in software development and maintenance, and team management. I completed my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering and started my career as a software developer, and have worked with diverse teams in the United States, Europe, and Asia. I am always fueled by my passion to continuously learn and leverage the latest technologies available to bring out the best. I am married to someone who encourages me in every step I take and has two lovely daughters who inspires me and makes me smile every day. I believe that creativity in the workplace is the key to success—a concept I live out through my interests in board games, painting, and cooking.
