Session: Still the only woman in the room
We often talk about the glass ceiling, specifically for women over the years, but also in DE&I context widely. How has that changed in IT over the last couple of decades, or indeed has it changed? what is the difference now to the 80s? Lisa and Liz will don their shoulder pads and discuss whether there are differences that they have experienced in their 28+ years in the IT industry

Liz Ince Bio
Liz Ince has been working in the IT industry for over 35 years across a wide range of industries from retail to industrial manufacturing. Since leaving University (BSC Hons in Electronic and Electrical Engineering ) she has worked as a Systems Engineer, a Sales Representative and is now Architect Director at Capgemini. She has helped many organisations develop their digital strategies and define new IT roadmaps to implement and meet their online business objectives. She is a Member of the BCS, a Chartered Engineer and was a finalist in the Women in Science and Engineering Awards 2018.
Liz has two grown up children – her son is a software project engineer and her daughter is a Capgemini Consultant.

Lisa is an Account Chief Architect with over 27 years delivery experience.
Specialising in integration across large accounts, creating and maintaining strong links with all client stakeholders, external technology suppliers and partner organisations.
Lisa is on the steering committee for the Women at Capgemini Womens Network, the UK Women in Delivery global ambassador, runs work experience sessions, a talent programme, facilitates architect training, is a well-being champion and founder of #sparklethursday
Lisa is married with two children and a crazy cocker spaniel
