Session: The 4 allies you need to boost your career
The goal of this presentation is to share some guidelines on how to find the best opportunities and invest your time in projects that are going to bear fruits for your career and professional development. This presentation raises awarenes to how important is to have an active planning and business acumen for your career progression.I expect the women watching my presentation to have these takeaways:
1) understanding what are the important players you should have in your career to facilitate growth: a Role Model, a Sponsor, a Mentor, and a BFAW; 2) The challenges of remote work regarding career development and networking, and how promote yourself in this new environment; 3) how women can leverage the relationship with these important personas to go beyond their dreams.
My presentation is based in some story telling of my own experience but with a strong base in this concept of the 4 stakeholders for career development. The presentation should be light, inspiring, and mind-opening for women to take the lead of their own paths.

Luiza is a Lead Formal Verification Engineer at Cadence Design Systems in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She is working in the Semiconductor industry by driving usage and business across several top notch US-based companies remotely. She believes women can boost their career using good strategies and overcome the networking challenges of remote work. With this mindset, she has worked with mentorship and career counseling volunteer projects for women in STEM.
