Session: Staying Safe in the Age of AI

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work—and the way cybercriminals attack. From AI-generated phishing emails with a 54% higher success rate to deepfake scams that cost businesses millions, the risks are real and rising fast. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore the latest AI-powered threats, including social engineering, deepfakes, password cracking, and automated malware.

Through the “Spot the Fake” challenge, you’ll test your ability to detect AI-generated content across emails, posts, images, and video. You’ll also learn the Three R’s of AI Safety—Recognize, React, Respond—a practical framework for staying resilient in the face of evolving scams.

The session will provide a Recovery & Protection Checklist for when things go wrong, along with advanced defenses like brand monitoring, verification tools, and family/employee training. Finally, we’ll balance risk with opportunity, covering AI best practices that enable teams to harness AI responsibly while safeguarding sensitive data, reputation, and trust.

Key Takeaway:
AI safety is no longer optional—it’s an essential resilience strategy for individuals, teams, and organizations. By learning how to spot, stop, and respond to AI-driven threats, you’ll walk away empowered to protect yourself and your business in the digital age.

Bio

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, MJ is a candid, down-to-earth marketing leader with over a decade of experience driving growth, alignment, and transformation. She brings a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, influencing senior leaders, and steering organizations through fast-paced change. Guided by the belief that sales and marketing must work as one, culture and communication are key, and strategy drives success, she blends executive presence with a healthy sense of humor (and a love of puns). When not leading in the business world, she enjoys traveling, exploring new foods, and time with her husband, young son, and two very fluffy cats.
