Session: Five quick wins to make your website more accessible, inclusive and easy to use

We want the web to be usable by as many people as possible. Yet accessibility often comes as an afterthought - or even worse - we don’t think about it at all. What is accessibility anyway? In this talk, you will learn how to make accessibility a part of your development process and your way of thinking, as well as five concrete things that will improve your website and make it more accessible for everyone.

In order to get the most out of the session, it's good if you have some basic knowledge about HTML and CSS.

Bio

Madeleine is a full-stack software developer, diversity & inclusion advocate, and music lover from the south of Sweden. She’s currently working at tretton37, a consultancy delivering customized and well-crafted software solutions.
With more than five years of experience from the tech industry, mainly e-commerce, she’s come to realize that being a developer is much more than just writing code. The concepts she strives to live by - and have observed to be applicable in all areas of life, including software development - is curiosity, compassion, and courage.
