Session: Sustainable Web Accessibility - what and how?
Properly utilised, web technologies are amazing because they can be truly inclusive. However, for accessibility to strive in your project, product and code base, it must be an inherent part of your development process. Conducting accessibility audits is certainly helpful, however, it costs extra money and brings just a temporal relief. Instead, let’s bake it into your code and automatically test it for a11y regressions! In my talk I’m going to focus on some low hanging fruits that can be automatised with scripts and tools so that you no longer have to explicitly think about it! I’ll share with you some ideas for sustainable web accessibility - like a11y linters, end-to-end test frameworks etc.Key Takeaways
