Session: From Non-Linear Careers to Confident Leadership: The Myth of Feeling Ready
Careers rarely follow a straight line. Yet many of us wait to feel “ready” before taking the next step.
In this talk, Merry Mathew challenges that belief and explores why feeling ready is often a myth.
Drawing from her own journey, from stepping into a people manager role on her very first day back from maternity leave to navigating multiple career transitions. Merry shares how some of the most defining moments of growth begin before clarity and confidence fully arrive.
Through honest stories and practical insights, this session invites participants to rethink career paths, build confidence in uncertain moments, and expand their influence without waiting for the “perfect” role.
Attendees will leave with a powerful shift:
you don’t need to feel ready to grow; You need to choose growth anyway.
