Session: Pattern Recognition in Clinical Data: Turning Lab Signals into Predictive, Actionable Intelligence

Clinical data is one of the richest but most underutilized assets in healthcare. Every lab value, trend line, and biomarker carries predictive potential—yet most systems still treat patients as numbers rather than dynamic biological patterns. In this session, Dr. Nida Fatima, neurosurgeon and founder of Filos Health Laboratory, will explore how advanced pattern recognition and AI-driven inference can transform routine clinical diagnostics into powerful engines of prediction.

Using real-world examples from precision diagnostics, chronic disease management, and large-scale lab operations, this talk will demonstrate how integrating longitudinal lab data with machine learning enables clinicians to forecast outcomes at 6 and 12 months, identify risk trajectories earlier, and personalize treatment with unprecedented accuracy.

Dr. Fatima will also share insights from building an AI-powered clinical lab platform, including the challenges of data integrity, model bias, regulatory readiness, and clinical usability. Attendees will gain a practical framework for transforming their own organizations—from implementing pattern recognition at the workflow level to aligning clinical, operational, and strategic goals around data-driven care.

This session is ideal for healthcare leaders, AI innovators, and tech executives looking to leverage clinical data to drive business value, operational efficiency, and better patient outcomes.

Key Takeaways

  • How to detect meaningful patterns in clinical data using AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling—and why traditional lab workflows miss them.
  • A practical framework for transforming routine diagnostics into predictive insights, enabling earlier risk detection and personalized care.
  • Strategies for integrating AI into clinical operations without disrupting workflow, compromising accuracy, or overwhelming clinicians.

Bio

Nida Fatima is the CEO and Founder of Filos Healthcare Network. An MD trained at Stanford University School of Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, she was recognized in Dallas 40 Under 40 (2025). She has authored over 250 research papers and abstracts and has presented globally on predictive analytics and artificial intelligence in healthcare. She is recipient of prestigious "AO Translation Innovator Award" for Augmented Reality Project, "Charles Kuntz Scholar Award" for Artifical Intelligent Project, "Global Health Research Award: Harvard Medical School", and several others.

Driven by a passion for improving healthcare accessibility and quality, Nida founded Filos Health to address the gaps that frustrate patients and limit care. Bootstrapped without venture funding, Filos Health has served over 18,000 patients, establishing itself as a leader in mobile blood collection and now expanding into precision diagnostics.

Filos Health is a mobile-first, machine learning-powered precision diagnostic platform that enables physicians to anticipate patient outcomes and make informed clinical decisions before adverse events occur. The company is CLIA and COLA accredited and has been recognized by the Dallas Business Journal for its innovation in healthcare.

Our clients include hospitals, laboratories, physicians, and government organizations, such as Exact Sciences, Genova Diagnostics, Vibrant America, Nucor, and many others. Filos Health’s vision is to ensure healthcare accessibility and equity for every person on Earth—and even beyond, as we explore the possibilities of providing healthcare to future Martian settlers.
