Cyber insurance (also referred to as cyber risk or cyber liability insurance) is a form of cover designed to protect your business from threats in the digital age, such as data breaches or malicious cyber hacks on work computer systems.Cyber insurance helps to protect your business against a variety of digital risks by supporting financially if you experience a damaging network event such as a cyber-attack. Also known as cyber liability insurance, this commercial cover is designed to react quickly to malware attacks, hacking events and electronic data breaches by funding investigation and reimbursing losses.

Bio
My name is Onur Korucu and I am working as Sr. GRC, Data Protection and Cyber Security Manager at Avanade UK&Ireland. I help organizations to create robust, tailor-made and well-established information security governance structures and data protection practices that mitigate the risks they face in their business as usual and help them comply with the regulatory requirements. I write articles about technical subjects relevant to my information security and data privacy expertise, also to help others to fulfil their potential and realize that they can also achieve their dreams and great things in their professional careers. I am actively involved in hiring, training and leading women in cyber and information security, GRC and data protection areas.I am information security, compliance, and privacy professional mainly focused on emerging technologies from information security and data protection topics. On top of my technical engineering degree and M.Sc degree, I obtained my LL.M in Informatıon and Technology Law. I also completed a Business Analytics executive education program at the University of Cambridge.
I have recently published a book about risk-based global approaches to improve data protection. I have also been publishing articles in prestigious magazines such as Harvard Business Review and Tomorrow around trending technology, cybersecurity and data privacy trends. I am delivering webinars in ISACA local chapters, I am an official speaker at ISACA Europe and ISACA Asia. I'm leading IT Risk, Information security, Data protection, Compliance and Governance engagements of international corporations.
