Session: Leading Across Cultures: The Power of Stakeholder-Centric Leadership and Cultural Intelligence
In today’s global tech landscape, leadership isn’t just about driving results—it’s about navigating complexity, aligning diverse stakeholders, and adapting across cultures. As women leaders, many of us are already doing this intuitively. But what if we could do it intentionally, strategically—and with impact?
In this talk, I’ll explore how stakeholder-centric leadership and cultural intelligence go hand in hand. Based on my experience leading multicultural teams across Germany, Spain, and India, I’ll share how learning to observe, absorb, and adapt—while respecting cultural differences—transformed the way I lead.
We’ll unpack key questions like:
• Who really are your stakeholders? (Spoiler: they’re not just your boss or your client.)
• How do you prioritize who to listen to—and when?
• What happens when cultural norms shape KPIs, timelines, and communication styles?
• How do you keep your leadership authentic while being culturally adaptable?
We’ll also talk about lessons I’ve learned from working with teams across Europe—like the clarity and boundary-setting I’ve admired in German teams, or the can-do optimism of my Spanish colleagues—and how those contrasts helped me evolve as a woman in tech.
This is a session for anyone who wants to lead better—not just by managing people, but by understanding them. Whether you’re an aspiring leader or already managing global teams, this conversation will leave you reflecting on how empathy, awareness, and curiosity can shape your leadership journey.
Why This Talk Matters:
• Women in tech often need to lead with influence, not just authority.
• We regularly balance competing voices—team, leadership, customers, and even our own families.
• By making our invisible leadership muscles visible—like stakeholder alignment and cultural intelligence—we empower more women to rise with confidence.
