Session: AI and Seniors: How AI is transforming lives of Older Adults
The global population is aging rapidly, with 20% expected to be over 60 by 2050. As this trend grows, there’s an urgent need for AI solutions to support seniors’ health, independence, and social connections. In my presentation, I’ll explore how AI technologies like wearable health devices, telehealth, and smart home systems can improve seniors' quality of life. We'll also address ethical concerns like privacy, bias, and accessibility, and discuss how women in AI can lead in creating empathetic and inclusive solutions. Lastly, I’ll emphasize the need for collaboration among caregivers, healthcare providers, and tech companies to advance AI for seniors.
