Session: How to Lead in the Age of Superintelligence

In an era where AI will work in tandem and at times supercede humans, this lightning talk will share a perspective on how product leaders can empower their employees, create psychological safety, and build products ethically.

Key Takeaways

  • Job Automation: Leaders can create psychological safety on their teams w.r.t. automation by designing employee incentives to reward skills such as empathy, collaboration, and thinking outside the box - areas where humans are truly differentiated.
  • Habit-forming products and ethical design: We have become physiologically addicted to receiving mini-dopamine spikes through tech products. Product leaders can exercise ethical discretion when building features for children and teens.
  • Collaboration with AI: Leaders can think consciously about how they want to shape the world where humans coexist with AI including (1) Basic Income, (2) Policies on using AI to augment biological intelligence, (3) Guardrails for AI Monopoly.
