Session: Scaling AI and Saving Lives: Product Lessons from Reddit and Digital Health Tech
What does it take to build products that not only scale to millions of users, but also save lives? Drawing from her experience leading AI-powered search development at Reddit and pioneering digital health solutions with the nonprofit Taimaka, Rachel Miller shares a product-led framework for building trustworthy technology that delivers results in both the tech and nonprofit worlds. She unpacks tactical strategies for launching new ideas in even the busiest organizations, balancing responsibility and innovation, and adapting lessons from consumer tech to critical challenges like childhood malnutrition.
For product leaders and innovators, this session offers a rare dual perspective: how the same principles that scale discovery engines across the internet can also transform malnutrition care in rural Nigeria. Attendees will leave with actionable insights for scaling products responsibly, whether in Big Tech, startups, or mission-driven ventures.
